Fat implant is meant to give you a proportionate body and smoother skin. This semi-permanent procedure takes up to two hours, where the surgeon makes a small incision and inserts a metal tube called a cannula. The fat is then extracted through the cannula using a needle or a vacuum pump and washed before injecting into a new area. Sometimes, the extracted fat is stored for future use.
The recovery from a fat implant surgery depends upon the area that is treated. After a fat transplant, there will be some swelling and bruising, which should resolve after about 10 days. The risks include bruising, swelling, lumpiness, skin discoloration and infection. The skill of the surgeon is very important because it’s difficult to judge how the fat implant is going to alter the shape of the body.
If you wish to try an alternative to getting a more proportionate body, then ask a health trainer for advice. A trainer can prescribe a set of exercises to tone up your body.
