We’ve already told you how to get a good pout; here’s more on how to pamper your lips and make them look the way you want to – sans cosmetic surgery.
Before you smear lipstick on your lips, make sure you exfoliate by rubbing a towel against them. This brings a natural flush to your lips and makes them look healthy and kissable.
If you have thin lips, try using a primer before your lipstick – a primer is a clear liquid, which pumps up your lips and gives them the perfect volume. It may sting a bit initially, but isn’t that better than collagen or silicone? If it’s neither primer nor surgery for you, then just use a lip liner to create the lips that you want. Line your lips outside the natural line of your lips to make them look plumper. It’s a good idea to use a line that is the same color as your skin.
The next trick is to choose the correct shade of lipstick. It’s not necessary that a darker shade will make your lips look plumper. On the contrary, a dark shade of lipstick may make your lips look thinner. Instead opt for colors that complement your skin tone.
After applying your lipstick, dot the centre of your upper and lower lips with clear lip gloss. This will make your lips shine from the middle and give the illusion of a natural pout.
