Do you want to look good? Before you decide to put yourself under the surgeon’s scalpel, try a few make-up tricks to look like a diva.
Before you buy any make-up, it is important to know whether your skin is dry, oily or a combination of both. You have to also keep in mind chemicals or products that your skin is allergic to. It’s also important to keep your skin clean – the basic steps of cleansing, toning and moisturizing before and after make-up. If you have dry skin, then massage moisturizer into your skin before applying make-up.
Getting the right shade of foundation is very important if you want to look peaches and cream. If your foundation is too light, you may end up looking pale; if you use loads of it to hide pimples then you may look all ‘caked-up.’ So while buying a foundation, apply three streaks of different tones of foundation across your face. Buy the one that disappears into the skin.
You can prevent the caked look by using a powdery form of foundation. If you’re not keen on using a foundation, then just use a spot concealer with a well blended translucent powder on the skin to create the base.
Another tip is to understand the use of the blusher because if applied wrong, instead of putting a glow on the cheek, a blusher can make you look like a clown. It’s important to understand your face structure and see where you need more or less. Accordingly contour your cheeks with a blusher to make them stand out.
Another make-up trick is to blend well. Lots of make-up without proper blending can give you a patchy look. You could begin by buying the right make-up brushes – sponge applicator for the eyes, lip brush for the lip line, a larger brush for powder dusting, eyebrow brush to give a finished touch, mascara brush which has a comb to use after applying mascara.
Eyes are an important aspect of our face and well-applied eye make-up can do wonders to your face. Instead of over-using eye make-up to get a dramatic effect; use it subtly to create a smokey effect.
