Mommy Makeovers – Mother’s Little Helpers

Eve Sanchez is a 29-year-old mother of two adorable kids. Though Eve absolutely adores her children, she was not happy with her post-pregnancy figure. Encouraged by friends who’s already tried it; Eve decided to have a mommy makeover. She went in for a series of cosmetic surgeries to restore her body to its pre-pregnancy state.

After liposuction, breast surgery and tummy tuck, Eve looks absolutely stunning and is no longer worried about the paunch that pushed or sagging breasts.  Plastic surgery has become mother’s little helper.

Mommy makeovers can involve a variety of procedures, but often involve tummy tucks to tighten stretched abdominal muscles, liposuction to remove excess fat and a breast lift, with or without implants. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that demand for those three procedures rose by 11 percent for women aged 20-39 between 2005 and 2006.

Part of the allure of these makeovers, and certainly the marketing, focuses on the possibility of having several procedures at once. That means just one anesthesia, which can lower risk and also lowers costs.

The cost of a mommy makeover varies, depending on what procedures a woman has, but can range from $15,000 to $30,000 or more. Combining procedures also allows women to minimize recovery time.

But however popular mommy makeovers are, you should not go for it on a whim. If exercise and diet is not helping you get back your pre-pregnancy figure, only then think of a mommy makeover.
