Here is another procedure to turn back the tide of time. For those of you, who wish to have a smooth, taut neck, sans sagging skin, a neck lift can just be the thing. The neck can begin to show age faster than the face and a neck lift can set that right.
Neck lift, also called ‘platysmaplasty’, is a surgery designed to reduce the loose sagging skin in the neck area and under the jaw line. The surgery takes two hours and is carried out under a general anesthetic. You may have to stay overnight at the hospital. You may take about 3-4 weeks to recover completely.
There will be some amount of swelling and bruising, and you may feel tired and sore for a few days. The scars will be firm and pink for about six weeks and may take up to two years to fade.
