It’s a bright new day – time to wake up and smell the coffee. But what do you see in the mirror the first thing in the morning? A pimple staring right back at you. And suddenly you feel that somebody has burst that happy bubble with a pin. And those who suffer are plagued by constant breakouts feel self-conscious all the time. So what can you do if you suffer from acne problems and shy away from meeting people? You can opt for the Nlite Laser treatment.

The Nlite Laser is a Pulse Dye Laser which emits a wavelength of yellow laser light using a patented technology called: Smartpulse. The Smartpulse yellow laser light targets the small blood vessels beneath the skin's surface. The small blood vessels absorb the heat of the laser while the surrounding tissues and surface skin cells are unaffected. The Nlite Laser stimulates the body's natural collagen production and effectively kills the bacteria that cause acne. Nlite treatments can heal current acne blemishes and can prevent further acne outbreaks. Nlite can also treat fine lines and wrinkles, port wine stains, Rosacea and other vascular lesions.

Nlite Laser sessions can take 15 minutes to an hour depending on the treatment area. The Nlite Laser wand is passed over the affected area containing the acne lesion or wrinkle. Patients usually feel a warm sensation as the wand passes over the treatment area; some patients report a sting or pricking feeling as the Smartpulse emits the yellow laser light, but treatment sessions are painless and require no anesthesia. Goggles or eye protection must be worn during the entire procedure to protect your eyes.

Most patients require no recovery time after Nlite treatment and are able to apply make up and return to their daily activities immediately. On rare occasions some patients incur swelling, bruising or slight blistering after treatment and this can be easily alleviated with an ice compress.

For acne treatment, Nlite Laser sessions are recommended once every 4 to 8 weeks. Your doctor will recommend specific regimens for wrinkles and vascular therapy, which depend on your individual needs and desired results.
