Most women get stretch marks – either during pregnancy or during teenage years. According to reports, at least 90% of pregnant women, 70% of adolescent females, and 40% of adolescent males in the US develop stretch marks.
A lot of times the right lotions and oils don’t really help in removing stretch marks all in all. With cosmetic laser surgery gaining such popularity, people are wondering if cosmetic surgery can eliminate stretch marks.
Cosmetic laser surgery has fewer side effects and are less invasive. The claims indicate that laser surgery stimulates new collagen growth and can reduce or eliminate the visible signs of stretch marks. This type of surgery can cause minor to moderate pain cannot actually repair torn fibers in the skin, but they are reported to dramatically improve the appearance of stretch marks for many people.
To date there is no way to actually repair damaged skin fibers, so one alternative to get rid of stretch marks is to remove them and this is where cosmetic surgery for stretch marks come in. During this procedure, the skin is cut away; though in some instances, doctors cannot remove all of the damage. Another benefit of cosmetic surgery is the ability to pull the remaining skin taut. This will as a result improve the appearance of stretch marks.
