Scotland Football Skipper’s Wife treated for Blood Infection

The wife of former Scotland football skipper Colin Hendry is being treated for a blood infection in hospital, five years after a botched cosmetic surgery operation nearly killed her.

Denise Hendry is being treated at Preston Royal Infirmary, where she had emergency surgery in 2002.

Mrs. Hendry was in intensive care for nearly two months after the cosmetic surgery went wrong five years ago. She suffered nine punctures to her bowel and colon in the £2,400 procedure. Her injuries led to multi-organ failure, including a cardiac arrest.
